Accursed for ever and driven to exile

Thou shalt be punished, for deeds of death

The earth shall not yield thee, of her fruits

By thy hands her soil stained, with proud men’s blood!

The green land, shall withhold from thee

Her beauty and delights

In sadness and dishonour

Shalt thou, depart from thy home!

As thou hast slain thy brother

Loathed of thy kin

A lowly pariah

Shalt wander the earth!

Look not for pity, in this world

For thou are lost in love and favour

Weary the ways you must wander

In dread and of woe!

Whenever one shall meet you

In your guilt, near or far

By his hate reminded

Of his brother’s death!

His life was shed

So thou art scourgest

And thou must go

Away from all men’s sight!

Maledetto per sempre e spinto all'esilio

Sarai punito per atti di morte

La terra non ti darà i suoi frutti

Per le tue mani il suo suolo macchiato, di sangue d'uomini superbi!

La terra verde, ti si sottrarrà

La sua bellezza e le sue delizie

Nella tristezza e nel disonore

Devi allontanarti da casa tua!

Come hai ucciso tuo fratello

Detestato dai tuoi parenti

Un umile paria

Vagherai per la terra!

Non cercare pietà, in questo mondo

Perché sei perso nell'amore e nel favore

Stanchi i modi in cui devi vagare

Nel terrore e nel dolore!

Ogni volta che uno ti incontrerà

Nella tua colpa, vicino o lontano

Dal suo odio ha ricordato

Della morte di suo fratello!

La sua vita è stata persa

Quindi sei un flagello

E tu devi andare

Lontano dalla vista di tutti gli uomini!
