A trail dimly familiar takes the lost ones along

Fallen trees lead the steps to the forest’s edge

The song of the ancient forces still echoes here

Reflected in their tears: a starless night which has seen the end

The rotting leaves on the ground surely remember

Perhaps they heard the harbingers of doom riding past

Far from war and hunger

Far from the world which was set ablaze

Here we must remain, we are so few

To trust the gods, perhaps for another moment we’ll survive

Beneath the stubs we’ll make our beds, with foliage as our blankets

No need to fear the flowing water

No ash pouring down from the sky here

If unfamiliar with yourself in the darkness

You will not know what you hear in the silence

From mouth to mouth the ancient wisdom’s travel

Words dating from years before our birth

We knew it all, yet lacked understanding

As we are gazed at by a thousand eyes

Towards them our heads turn

Meet the Ancient Ones!

The Ancient Power which tears down the creations of man

And is itself reborn

As heaven opens and drenches the land

Every tree is rooted in stone

Thus the walls of the fortress fall

The walls of hatred splintered like glass

Rusting machines from a time gone by

Ships remain at the bottom, forgotten

And all our traces washed in clean water

Thousands of years wiped away in a flash

Holy writings return to the ground

Un sentiero vagamente familiare accompagna i perduti

Gli alberi caduti conducono i gradini ai margini della foresta

Il canto delle forze antiche risuona ancora qui

Riflessa nelle loro lacrime: una notte senza stelle che ha visto la fine

Le foglie in decomposizione per terra sicuramente lo ricorderanno

Forse hanno sentito i presagi di sventura passare oltre

Lontano dalla guerra e dalla fame

Lontano dal mondo che è stato dato alle fiamme

Qui dobbiamo restare, siamo così pochi

Per fidarci degli dei, forse per un altro momento sopravviveremo

Sotto i mozziconi faremo i nostri letti, con il fogliame come coperte

Non c'è bisogno di temere l'acqua che scorre

Nessuna cenere che scende dal cielo qui

Se non conosci te stesso nell'oscurità

Non saprai cosa senti nel silenzio

Di bocca in bocca il viaggio dell'antica saggezza

Parole che risalgono ad anni prima della nostra nascita

Sapevamo tutto, ma mancava di comprensione

Come ci guardano mille occhi

Verso di loro si gira la testa

Incontra gli Antichi!

L'Antico Potere che abbatte le creazioni dell'uomo

Ed è esso stesso Rinato

Come il Cielo si apre e inzuppa la terra

Ogni albero è radicato nella pietra

Cadono così le mura della Fortezza

I muri dell'odio si scheggiarono come vetro

Macchine arrugginite di un tempo

Le navi restano in fondo, Dimenticato

E tutte le nostre tracce lavate in acqua pulita

Migliaia di anni spazzati via in un lampo

Le sacre scritture tornano a terra

Incontra gli Antichi!
