I don’t know quite what’s happening

And my eyes don’t see too clear;

All I know is I need you here

If only to shield me from the mood of the world

But I’m like a child whose dreams are shattered

Crowding round me, images of broken thought

Lines of my life now overgrown

All I can feel is I’m so alone

Without even your bright eyes to reach into my mind

And say that in my life I’ve done right

And I’m like a moonchild in the sunlight

So cast your thoughts upon me, wherever you are

That I may feel you close beside me

And hold your hand, for you to guide me

Through all these catacombs which freeze me with their touch;

Unknowing, knowing so much, my mind cries out

And I’m like a child when the light’s out

With a child’s fear of the dark…

Non so bene cosa sta succedendo

E i miei occhi non vedono troppo chiaramente;

Tutto quello che so è che ho bisogno di te qui

Se solo per proteggermi dall'umore del mondo

E stringimi e dì che non importa;

Ma sono come un bambino i cui sogni sono infranti

Intorno a me si affollano immagini di pensieri spezzati

Le linee della mia vita ora sono ricoperte di vegetazione

Tutto quello che posso sentire è che sono così solo

Senza nemmeno i tuoi occhi luminosi per raggiungere la mia mente

E dì che nella mia vita ho fatto bene

E sono come un figlio della luna alla luce del sole

Quindi rivolgi i tuoi pensieri su di me, ovunque tu sia

Che io ti senta vicino a me

E tieni la tua mano, perché tu mi guidi

Attraverso tutte queste catacombe che mi gelano con il loro tocco;

Non sapendo, sapendo così tanto, la mia mente grida

E sono come un bambino quando la luce è spenta

Con la paura di un bambino per il buio...
